Dr. Esfahani grew up in Toronto, Canada, and pursued both undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Toronto, focusing on how nutrition can reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College (NYMC) and completed his internship at the esteemed Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Dr. Esfahani then completed his dermatology residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, where he was honored to serve as Chief Resident in his final year.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Esfahani has a strong interest in leadership and mentoring. During medical school, he was elected president of the student governing body at NYMC. He has also served on the Review Committee for Dermatology of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Dr. Esfahani has mentored medical students, residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants and has contributed to medical research published in reputable peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.

Dr. Esfahani has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career. Notable recognitions include being named among Modesto Bee’s Best in Modesto for Dermatology in 2023—his first full year in Modesto. He has also been inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his compassionate care and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for his outstanding academic achievements.

Dr. Esfahani is committed to a patient-centered approach, believing that each patient’s uniqueness requires a collaborative treatment plan. He is dedicated to serving the Central Valley of California and looks forward to continuing his career in the region.
